Ok, so all the talk of Choppers yesterday had me thinking about Air Wolf, & the old 80's shows, so I thought i'd see what you guys think about the following
Just for a bit of fun:-

Air Wolf
Street Hawk
Knight Rider

These were all around the same sort of time & I have to admit I watched all of them, did any of you watch them,
what did you think???? Do you have a fav????

AIRWOLF

'Airwolf itself was a hi-tech attack helicopter, equipped with cutting-edge on-board computer, surveillance and radar systems, able to fly
quicker than the fastest jets, and armed with awesome fire-power.
Dubbed "The Lady" due to it's slender grace,
Airwolf had been constructed by "The Firm", a mysterious, top-secret division of the C.I.A., distinguishable by it's agents all-white dress code.'

At the start of the Pilot adventure, we see Airwolf on its maiden test flight, piloted by its creator, Dr. Moffet (David Hemmings). But after the successful test flight, the twisted Moffet turns the chopper's lethal fire-power onto the flight tower, causing carnage, before heading off to Libya in the machine. Michael Coldsmith-Briggs III, codename "Archangel" the head of the division who built Airwolf, is badly wounded in the assault but not yet out of the game. Now wearing an eye-patch and walking with aid of a cane as a result of his injuries, he calls upon ace combat pilot Stringfellow Hawke (Jan-Michael Vincent) to take the task of bringing back Airwolf from Libya.''''Hawke is a cello-playing recluse, living in his scenaric cabin in the mountains with a priceless art collection, and with only his dog Tet for company - ever since his brother St. John went Missing In Action in the Vietnam War, never to be found. Hawke eventually agrees to take the mission, aided by his only close friend, Dominic Santini . Much Hawke's senior, Dominic was very much his mentor, who was prone to the odd bout of grouchiness, but for the majority of the time was raucously cheerful. He owned Santini Air, a flight company that's main vehicles were decked out in stars and stripes, which specialised in performing arial stunts for films. Hawke and Dominic prised Airwolf back from Moffet's clutches (blowing away it's twisted genius creator in the process), but Hawke wasn't ready to return it back over to the Firm just yet. Hiding it in a hollow mountain in the middle of the desert wilderness, he refused to return the super-chopper until the Firm found solid information about his M.I.A. brother St. John, be he dead or alive. Thus was set the scenario for the series, with Archangel - usually accompanied by assistant Marella - calling upon Hawke in times of crisis to fly Airwolf on missions of national concern, with the occasional glimmer of hope regarding finding St. John - or at least solid information about his fate - thrown in for good measure.
Airwolf itself was a highly modified Bell 222b, with a number of fibreglass and aluminium sections fitted to give it its unique look. In the TV series Airwolf may have been capable of supersonic speeds, but in reality, the numerous additions resulted in only slowing the helicopter's speeds! Sadly, the aircraft used for Airwolf crashed in Germany in 1991 (however, most of the specially built modifications are still in existence in the depths of Universal Studios).

Street Hawk

Opening Narration below for each episode below

'This is Jesse Mach, an ex-motorcycle cop, injured in the line of duty. Now a police troubleshooter, he's been recruited for a top secret government mission to ride Street Hawk--an all-terrain attack motorcycle designed to fight urban crime, capable of incredible speeds up to three hundred miles an hour...and immense firepower. Only one man, federal agent Norman Tuttle, knows Jesse Mach's true identity. The man...the machine...Street Hawk'

Can't really write too much about this as only 13 episodes were made, this making 1 series, (didn't really take off then)

The show is about a police officer and former amateur dirt-bike racer named Jesse Mach who is secretly chosen to test a top-secret project—an all-terrain attack motorcycle capable of speeds in excess of 300 miles per hour. Backing the motorcycle was a computerized command system that allowed its operator to provide the motorcycle's rider with real-time information from various sources, and even operate the motorcycle on "autopilot" during its high-speed runs, achieved through a process (presumably achieved through the usage of fuel turbines mounted on its chassis, since using piston engines for the purpose would have been impractical) called "hyperthrust," after clearing traffic along the intended route. Norman Tuttle (Joe Regalbuto), an engineer employed with the Law Enforcement Assistance Administration of the Department of Justice, was the designer of the motorcycle and reluctantly chose Mach to test it. Mach began to lead a double life, a police public relations officer by day, and crime-fighter by night.
The Street Hawk, as he came to be known, was regarded as a lawless vigilante, and hence a fugitive from justice, by the police.

The bike in the pilot episode was based on a 1983 Honda XL500 trail bike. The bikes used in the series were based on 1984 Honda XR500s. The one's used for the stunt shots were based on Honda CR250s. Overall, fifteen bikes were used in the show. The whereabouts of fourteen of these are unknown, but the fifteenth used to reside in the now closed Cars of the Stars Motor Museum in Keswick, CumbriaEngland, restored by stuntman Chris Bromham. The pilot bike was designed by Andrew Probert and the series motorcycles were redesigned by Ron Cobb.

There is also evidence that a second motorcycle survived, but the whereabouts of this are now unknown. It is known, however, that a bike was displayed at "Star Cars" in America in the 1980s or 1990s. It is believed that that particular one is now missing.

Knight Rider

Self-made billionaire Wilton Knight rescues police detective Michael Long after a near fatal shot to the face, giving him a new identity (via plastic surgery) and a new name: Michael Knight. Wilton selects Michael to be the primary field agent in the pilot program of his Knight Industries-funded public justice organization, the Foundation for Law and Government (FLAG). The other half of this pilot program is the Knight Industries Two Thousand (KITT), a heavily modified Pontiac Trans Am with numerous features including an extremely durable shell and frame, controlled by a computer with artificial intelligence. Michael and KITT are brought in during situations where "direct action might provide the only feasible solution".

Heading FLAG is Devon Miles, who provides Michael with directives and guidance. Dr. Bonnie Barstow is the chief engineer in charge of KITT's care,
as well as technical assistant to Devon.

The car used as KITT in the series was a customized 1982 Pontiac Trans-Am sports model that cost US$100,000 to build

They also re-made this series in 2008 & K.I.T.T 3000 was a
'2008' Ford Mustang Shelby GT500KR . . .
yeah baby, you heard right, check the pic
below, cause it's defo worth a look :D

One of my fav motors, although I have to say I do prefer
the '67' model better, they just don't make em
like they used to :((
