Hey guys, still a bit new to this blogging lark and can never quite think of anything to blog about, so I thought this afternoon
 i'll do choppers (& I mean Helicopters) ^_^

Gotta say my all time Fav is a Chinook, closely followed by the Apache
There's nothing quite like the sound of thumping props in the distance :)
Don't know a great deal about these, but I know that I like them
I like them a lot, probably all the war flicks
 i've watched over the years

Which could be a new question & answer peeps
What's your fav war film & why???
I've got 3 & I can't quite decide which would be No:1

Full Metal Jacket,
 Hamburger Hill
or Platoon :))

'This is my rifle. There are many others like it, but this one is mine.
My rifle is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life. Without me, my rifle is useless. Without my rifle, I am useless.
I must fire my rifle true. I must shoot straighter than my enemy,
who is trying to kill me.
I must shoot him before he shoots me. I will. Before God I swear this creed:
My rifle and myself are defenders of my country,
we are the masters of our enemy, we are the saviors of my life.
So be it, until there is no enemy, but peace. Amen'

Possibly one of the best quotes in a film . . . Ever
you decide :)

Now back to the choppers hehe

The most famous of the
RAF's Chinook helicopters
is ZA718, known more
usually by its two-letter
identity code
'Bravo November'.

Not only did they have
a massive capacity inside,
they also have
2 grip hooks underneath
to carry loads,
good looking & versatile
too

The Apache helicopter is
a revolutionary development in the history of war. It is essentially a flying tank -- helicopter designed to survive heavy attack and inflict massive damage.

It can zero in on specific targets, day or night, even in terrible weather. As you might expect, it is a terrifying machine to ground forces.

  5. Ooh, choices, choices! Why pick one? Have 'em all! I'm not greedy, I just like a lot!

The sound of a helicopter usually fills me with dread. Whenever one goes over, it's usually the police chopper looking for criminals on the run! What fun! However, there is one that I always fancied, the one T.C. flew in Magnum P.I. What can I say, I'm old school!
